The contentious Boeing deal with Iran is finally inked. A total of 80 aircrafts worth over $16bn are signed to be sold to Iran and the delivery starts in 2018 and will be completed within 10 years. In addition, Iran has purchased another 100 airplanes from Airbus.

After about 4 decades of sanctions, Iran strives to overhaul its air fleet. It is still possible that the next administration in America will be opposed to this deal. However, the Boeing  contract will offer thousands of jobs and boost the manufacturing activities in the US, which is what Mr. Trump has promised in his campaigns. Mr. Said Yasavoli, the CEO of AGIT, believes that a business man like  Mr. Trump, will look at this opporutunity to fulfill his campaign promises and offer jobs to the American public.

Nonetheless, it can be the start of many business arrangements between Iran and the US that could eventually boost the American manufacturing sector.
